Find The Best Place to Stay On The Southern Oregon Coast For Your Family Vacation

Posted on: 9 July 2020

If you have already been to the southern Oregon coast, you already know how beautiful it is. If this will be your first visit to this part of the United States, you will probably want to return often as it is a spectacular place to vacation. First on your to-do list will be finding the best place for your family to stay. This is a popular place for tourism, so waiting too long might lead to disappointment. Decide whether you want to stay in a hotel, in a bed and breakfast facility, or in a rented house.

A Rented House

If you want to stay in a rented house, think of working with a real estate agent that specializes in short-term rentals. Specify things that you want as part of the property. For instance, if you want to be close to the water and to beautiful hiking trails, be sure to tell the agent that. On the other hand, maybe you'd rather be close to shopping, restaurants, and other local attractions.

Depending on how much you can spend on the rental, the rental agent might show you virtual pictures of beautifully decorated homes that have a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a patio as part of the home's design.

A Hotel

Staying in a hotel won't give you that home away from home feeling, but there will be other benefits for this type of accommodation. You'll get maid service every day, plus your hotel might even have a complimentary breakfast. Many good hotels even have things like apples and cookies available during the day. If you are willing to spend the money, stay at a hotel that has a five-star restaurant, an exercise room, and gift shops on the property.

Again, the location of the hotel is important. If you are going through a travel agent, be sure to tell him or her whether you want to be close to town or close to nature.

A Bed And Breakfast

If you've never stayed at a bed and breakfast facility, that might be a lot of fun for you and your family. While the B&B will only offer breakfast, you might also be able to request sack lunches to take with you as you see the sights. If you do decide you'd like to stay at a B&B, think about asking the agent who is helping you to find a historic home. That would just add to the fun.

No matter where you stay, be sure to let the agent who helps you know if you'll be traveling with your dog. If that is the case, there might be an extra charge or a deposit which will be returned to you if there is no damage done.

Use these tips to find the best places to stay on the southern Oregon coast for your family.
